Problematic Integration Theory: Dilema Gangguan Kejiwaan Skizofrenia dari Sudut Pandang Penyintas

Abstract

Pada bidang kesehatan, Indonesia saat ini masih dihadapkan dengan tantangan melawan berbagai jenis penyakit, salah satunya penyakit gangguan jiwa. Salah satu jenis gangguan jiwa yang angka penderitanya tinggi di Indonesia adalah Skizofrenia. Namun, masih banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang belum sadar bahkan acuh terhadap penyakit ini. Analisis terhadap tiga penyintas Skizofrenia, dipandu dengan Problematic Integration Theory, mengungkapkan empat bentuk elemen PI yang digambarkan dengan pengalaman melawan penyakit Skizofrenia. Divergensi terhadap kehidupan normal namun terbentur oleh kondisi mental yang tidak stabil, ambiguitas tentang faktor dalam diri serta faktor eksternal terhadap Skizofrenia, ambivalensi tentang keputusan menjalani pengobatan intensif, dan ketidakmungkinan tentang diagnosis Skizofrenia dinilai sangat sesuai dalam kerangka PI.
